US Mobile’s ‘Dark Star’, offers coverage on AT&T’s network

US Mobile, a virtual mobile network operator (MVNO), has officially launched service on the AT&T network, branded as “Dark Star.” The launch of Dark Star marks the culmination of several months of development and planning. The service was originally slated to be named “Death Star” but underwent a rebranding before its official release. US Mobile now provides coverage on all three major U.S. wireless carriers.

Dark Star joins “Warp 5G” and “Light Speed,” US Mobile’s offerings on the Verizon and T-Mobile networks respectively. The company positions itself as a “Super Carrier” due to its ability to offer coverage across multiple networks and its unique “Teleport” feature, which allows users to switch between networks for free on its flagship unlimited plan and $2 per transfer on its other plans.

A key feature differentiating Dark Star from other US Mobile networks is the option to purchase priority data access for an additional fee as low as $4/month. This upgrade promises faster data speeds during periods of network congestion. While Warp 5G plans typically include priority data for users with 5G devices, this feature is not available on the Light Speed network.

The company’s strategy of offering multiple network options provides customers with greater flexibility and control over their wireless service. By allowing users to switch between networks based on their location needs, US Mobile aims to deliver a superior mobile experience.

As the wireless industry continues to evolve, US Mobile’s commitment to innovation and customer choice sets it apart from traditional carriers. The launch of Dark Star is a significant step forward for the company and is expected to help attract new customers seeking a more personalized mobile experience on the AT&T network.

To celebrate the launch of Dark Star, US Mobile is hosting a Cybertruck giveaway with 6 months of free unlimited wireless service. Customers who activate a paid plan by September 30, 2024, and maintain service through December 2, 2024, will be eligible to enter. To participate in the contest, persons need to guess the number of SIM cards shown in a video on the US Mobile website. Submit your guess using the entry form available on the same site. The total prize value is $100,264.
