Simple Mobile amps up data offerings with triple data promotion

In a bid to attract new customers and bolster its market position, Verizon-owned Simple Mobile has launched a triple data promotion. Available exclusively through authorized Simple Mobile retail stores, the offer provides new customers with significantly more high-speed data on select plans.

For a limited time, customers who activate a new line or port their number to Simple Mobile will have triple the data on the following plans:

  • $25 per month: 15GB of high-speed data (up from 5GB)
  • $30 per month: 30GB of high-speed data (up from 10GB)
  • $40 per month: 45GB of high-speed data (up from 15GB)

Once the high-speed data allotment is exhausted, customers can still access data at reduced 2G speeds. All plans include unlimited talk, text, international calling, and texting with roaming in Latin America.

It’s worth noting that while the promotion is currently exclusive to Simple Mobile retail stores, the company hasn’t specified the duration of the offer. It’s quite possible that if the promotion proves successful, it could become a permanent feature of these plans. It’s likely a necessity that they do to stay competitive in the market and with Verizon’s offerings from its other prepaid brands including Total Wireless and Straight Talk.

To further enhance the customer experience, Simple Mobile has made strides in improving its Lifeline program. Eligible customers can now conveniently enroll in the program in-store through a dedicated QR code, streamlining the process and making it more accessible. The Lifeline program offers a monthly discount on select plans, including those participating in the triple data promotion.

In addition to the data boost and Lifeline program enhancements, Simple Mobile has undergone a brand refresh, adopting a more modern aesthetic. The new look, featuring a fresh color palette and typography, aligns with Verizon’s overall new branding strategy.

While the triple data offer is undoubtedly enticing, customers should be aware of potential limitations. The plans are subject to deprioritization, meaning data speeds may be slower during periods of network congestion compared to other Verizon customers.
